  • Hi Sinclair, you are right, I was using the hard buttons out of habit.
  • Hi, no it isn't normal. I just tested with v.3.11 on a Hog 4 and not seeing any issues. What console is being used? What software version is installed? As a test, try a different show file and see if the response is the same. Possibly send a video…
  • Hi Cormac, if another PC is available, as a test possibly see if it gives the same response with the widget. We have tested the widgets we all use here with v.3.11 and are not seeing any issues, and not getting other reports. It is possible the widg…
  • Hi, what version of software is installed in the Hog PCs? Are they laptops, tablets, desktops, what kind of PC is being used? O/S etc? There isn't any known issues at this time.
  • Hi, the patch will need to be cloned from the first DP8000 to the second DP8000. If both DPs have Net Number 1, one of them will need to be changed to Net Number 2 for example, as the DPs cannot have the same Net Number. Then in the Fixture Windo…
  • The iPC Front Panel and other boards will not work with a regular Hog 3 PC setup. The Front Panel for example is programmed to act and be seen as an iPC Front Panel, it will not act or be seen as a Wing which is what would be needed. There were a li…
  • Hello, the hard drive needs to be at least 80gb in size. Larger is ok but stay on the smaller size and not a huge one. The software can be found at the link below. The Road Hog, and Road Hog Full Boar are similar consoles but use different software…
  • Hello, if you are saving directly to, or trying to open directly from the USB drive, try the following. On the PC make a new backup copy of the show, but leave it on the PC. Do not save the backup directly to USB. Then move the file to USB in the fi…
  • Selecting SOURCES button at the top of the Output window will change the view to show where the value is coming from. It may show a cuelist number for example, It could have gotten recorded into a cue inadvertently. Also if the value in the output …
  • As the fixtures have an intensity value greater than zero in the prior cue, about the only way is to make a cue in between the two cues, with the fixtures at zero intensity, and Marking the next cue.
  • Hi Joe, You may try merging your show into a new show. Make a backup copy of the current show. Open a new show. Open the Shows windows. Press the MERGE SHOW button, and follow the prompts. When asked for a Source Location, select the backup copy of …

  • Hi Fredrik, checkout video 6 at the link below. https://www.highend.com/hes-support/training/hog-videos
  • Hi Joe, you may try a Full Install of the software. If that doesn't help there may be a fault with the DMX PCB.
  • You can right click on the panel, and select No Panel from the options.
  • Hi, the distributor is Theatrixx but they do not offer rentals, but they can point you to someone who does. Try contacting Philippe @ Theatrixx Technologies 514.939.3077
  • The front panel and the processor are not communicating. It may be as simple as a cable but there may also be a component failing, or traces deteriorating on the processor board for example. They can take a while to find and sort out, if at all.
  • Hi, you can try merging your show file into a new show file. Open a new show, open the Shows window, press Merge Show and follow the prompts. When asked for a Source Location, select a Backup copy of the original show file and follow the prompts.
  • Hi Gino, you may confirm the Firwall is off. Also you can try removing the old version with the Windows Untility Cleanup, you can find it easily with Google. Then try installing the latest version. https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-insta…

  • Hi BMartin, if you send the serial number to me at mitch.peebles@barco.com I can check the warranty status etc., and we can look into your issues. Thanks, Mitch
  • Hi Marcel, if it does not need any specific drivers loaded, there is a reasonable chance it may work.
  • Hello Martell, I cannot tell exactly what is happening. Can you send a short video to mitch.peebles@barco.com and we will try to sort it out.

  • For example the Comment Macro will have RL1>10 which would release lists 1-10.
  • Hi, if you send your name, email address, etc. and what fixtures you requested, I will follow up. I didn't see anything from Jawbone. It should take about two weeks. Please send your info to mitch.peebles@barco.com
  • Hi Cormac, the library reflects the method from the DMX table from the manufacturer. It also defaults to the 0 value. For the moment you can copy it into the Fixture Builder and change the label for the first Strobe entry from RATE to SHUTTER, then …
  • A couple of possibilities. If you are changing colors on a color wheel vs a color mixing system such as CMY or RGB for example, color wheels do not observe the time. It is possible the default timing has been changed as well. Look in the Timing tab…
  • Hi, the 50% value is correct. The base value is the center and the effect goes equally above and below the base value. https://www.highend.com/pub/support/controllers/documents/html/en/sect-table_effects.htm
  • With one visualizer per console, connecting each console directly to it's visualizer PC is possible, no routers needed. I may have missed the reason but there isn't a need to have them all on the same network. They will all have separate systems and…
  • Hi, is all of the same type(s) doing this? What fixture types are they? Would some of the fixture type be observing the time, and others of the same type not? Was it consistent which were and were not observing the fade time? Any chance the ones not…
  • Hi, you may check with hoglibraries@highend.com, I have sent an email letting them know about it as well. Looking at the B-Eye DMX tables it seems the K20 Shapes is the same DMX layout as the K10 Shapes and may work. Of course I may be wrong but wor…
  • Hi, some basic things to try may be checking the Windows Network Connections, and disabling all but the one being used to connect to the internet to download the software. For example if there is a hardware connection and a wireless or even blue too…
  • Hi, try adding a Color Dash Batten Hex 8 13 channel to your show, it doesn't need to be patched, just added in the Fixture Schedule. In the Fixture Builder press COPY FROM and select this fixture. After looking in the Chauvet manual channel 6 is als…
  • Hi, after a quick glance at their manual it seems you will connect a DMX cable from the Nano or Hog DMX Widget directly to the USB interface connected to the PC the Easy View program is installed. It seems the software comes with the interface but I…
  • As the Hog software is free, the Hog hardware cannot also be free. Timecode functions are included in the software free of charge. It is the PC that is missing the Timecode functions.

  • Hi, video 15 at the link below will show the process. If you use a PC confirm Linux Live was used to create the USB drive. Disconnect any wings and additional USB drives etc from the console when installing the software. https://www.highend.com/hes…
  • If the two PCs are not networked together and they are basically two separate machines, it should be fine. You didn't mention networking and with both PCs having individual super widgets it isn't necessary if Midi is controlling everything. Keeping …
  • Hi Tim, check to see if the USB ports being used are USB3, they will have a blue color when looking towards the inside. If yes try a non USB3 port and see if you have better luck. There isn't an external driver to load. When it runs the hardware wi…

  • Hi, I don't have one to test but looking in the DMX and Output windows while looking at the fixture's DMX table I don't see anything that would be causing this. Have you used these on other consoles before and do they not act this way? It is possibl…
  • You can try going into the Virtual Faders tab of the Preferences window and selecting Down from the pop down box for each virtual playback bar you have things recorded. SETUP->PREFERENCES->VIRTUAL FADERS
  • Using Record instead of Merge seems to work. I see the dup when using Merge. Try selecting GROUP 1 + GROUP 2 RECORD GROUP 3 MERGE, when the option appears. The + sign appears to be optional.
  • Hi Josh, if you haven't, you may try another keyboard to help determine if the problem may be in the PC, program, or keyboard. The unwanted commands may be a button on the edge of failing for example, this is just one possibility but something to el…

  • Without knowing the fixtures it is difficult to determine exactly. If the list is set to HTP, it will not Release as the fader physically remains up. If you put the Play and Pause buttons back to the default settings, does it help? Is the Program…
  • Hi Richard, if you install Hog 3 PC V.3.2.x or and Hog 4 PC software on the same PC, it will cause the widget to not work in Hog 2 PC as the drivers changed drastically. You may try removing any Hog 3 or 4 and install V.3.1.9 of Hog 3 PC, and you sh…
