  • The whole OSC implementation is quite confusing... Good to hear that there are more assignments than explained in the manual, but please give us a list. Another item, i still need to generate dedicated OSC-strings to use with other applications like…
  • to simple, and there was enough time... we made a new cuelist with fader @full and the intensities of all channels at 'reduced' level (intensity touch). luckily it was a small cuelist and there were no different faderlevels. sorry, no rocketscience
  • that is good to hear and fair enough; we worked around and we see what we wanted to see...
  • that is the way it works. record an intensity palette with all the functions you want, intensity, time, beam, etc. for each type, group, global or whatever. right click that palette and click highlight, then you see a small blue icon with an 'h' and…
  • that is true, of course it is purely math, but it is not the way i programmed it: first it has to go to full, after this it has to go to 50%. I do not program it as 0 count but as a follow count. in the syntax it should go to full and after it fade…
  • hi guys of hes... please answer these requests!
  • just record a macro with one entry, and change that one in 'spreadsheet mode' to a key press and choose skip forward and give that macro a name like '>>'. then you move this macro to the command keys.
  • Interesting! This one was once requested already... https://forums.highend.com/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/68803/#Comment_68803 nice to bump this again.
  • I have requested this back in 2013 for the OSC-commands; It is also deep down somewhere to dis- or enable. I would really want to have these comment macro options for MIDI and OSC!
  • I think when you are using an inhibitive fader, you are aware of using that kind of fader, and they do affect the programmer and output because you want to. A pink background with fat flashing purple characters can help you to remind that you are us…
  • You can link several tablets, phones or whatever OSC-thing to one console, all in the same hognet ip-range and different ports (the outgoing port has to be the same for the console). But the console is not able to give feedback to the different devi…
  • This 'bug' has been there since the introduction of the hog3... To mine opinion it is a bug and really an anoying one, but maybe the software designers think different about this.
  • Hi Marc, I will do that next time.
  • Sometimes the mechanical-faders of my roadhog4 do not work after powerup. With osc-commands and macro-commands i was able to use the 'virtual'-faders. After powercycling, the faders were working fine again. software 1.2.1 Anyone any thoughts?…
  • Nice idea, i can imagine that you can choose your priority, or using the startup macro, or using the back on track option in case of not regularly quiting or logging off your show. An other way can be for example rebooting the console, while using …
  • look at 3.3.7 in the manual
  • yes, true....rtfm
  • I am using a sharp 15inch tft via vga on my roadhog
  • fair enough, but in mine opinion this should be inverse; show the name and the comment while there is no go, and after a go, just the name of the list or scene. and ofcourse there is is a difference between a scene and a cuelist
  • it would be nice if you could use pig and touch the desired scene to release that scene, like pig and the go button acts in the 1.2.0 software.
  • Hi Michael, I have connected an external screen to the roadhog, and adjusting the brightness and gamma only has effect for that external screen and not the internal one. software 1.2.0 with regards, san
  • You can change all default naming in setup -> preferences, tab 'default naming'. In your case you have to delete in the 'Copy label' box 'Copy '; leave the '&Old'.
  • datadriver wrote: » Not necessarily. If you play a cuelist with just desk-channels in it there won't be a red indication, because it is not clear you still have something affected on stage. Patch a showgun with pan/tilt into a cuelist and play it …

  • datadriver wrote: » MIDI OUTPUT: today in H4 you can only disable MSC output. Comment Macro midi always goes. Are you asking to change that or are you asking to disable just MSC via comment macro? MIDI INPUT: are you asking for a single macro t…
  • To add some on the list, Is it possible to have a comment macro to en- and disable midi in- and output, like there is the possibility for clock and timecode. And of course the same for OSC-commands.
  • some while ago...
  • you can find the link over here:
  • what is the noise level of each board? the hog3 console was really silent with no fans. during shows i could only hear the humming of the harddisk (so this sound is not there anymore...). are these boards built the same way? okay, the nano is depen…
  • hi eric, nice you are digging into this problem. do you have a solution for this one?
  • leggy +1; not only because it will be more expensive. i do not like the sound of the faders moving up and down in a cut, while switching pages. i use the hog in a theatre-environment and the audience around me will look at me when i use the hog like…

  • i thought, give a strike command to a vl1000, leave it for 3 to 5 seconds in the programmer and then give a clear, to get the vl1000 in idle mode. ofcourse you can make a macro for this, or achieve this with two follow cue's. i am not sure, but y…
  • you should read this thread:
  • +1 for an integrated stopwatch. But with this workaround you do not need two hands, and with the comment macros, you do not have to think about starting the stopwatch, or what should happen when the stopwatch stops... I used this a lot during show…

  • When I need stopwatch, I make a cuelist with two empty cues. The second one I give a wait time, for example 1 minute. You can give the cuelist a separate go, or fire it with a macro comment in a cue in your main cuelist. (you can do something with a…

  • reminds me, not really about this thread,
  • hi todd, this can be done quit easilly, in the controlpanel-window you can point to a certain showfile under the tab ´autolaunch´ (try the delay time, some machines need some more time to fire), done this, the next step is to assign a startup mac…
  • héhoi hans, this is a really annoying thing, and using sources is not an option, especially when you are using blocking cues (still not implemented, so you have to use a 'copy state' for these kind of cues...). it helps a little bit, but untill n…
  • thanks!
  • I am using MidiOx to see what is really happening. When i use the keyboard of my laptop, to play notes (within MidiOx) then for example the following shows up: status data1 data2 chan note event 90____32____64____1__D 3_Note On 80____32____…
  • i was going a bit deeper in to this problem, and found out that the hog is only listening to the first two bits of the three bits command (all in hex). For example in midiox: note on is 90 04 64 and the hog reads the 90 as note on, and the 04 as t…
  • i used hogPC and midiox, with my iphone connected running itm matrix, and that was working like i discribed before, so the note off wasn't doing anything at all.
  • only the note on is used for commands, the note off is not used. so there is no need to record exta empty que's.
  • that is strange, i am running midiox and hogPC connected with the virtual midiyoke lines. and in this configuration both IDs have to be the same, else hogPC will not listen to the generated MSC of midiox.
  • the device ID in the MSC has to be the same as the device ID of the console you want to send that MSC to, else that console will not listen to the command. the ID can be between 0 and 111. i do not know why it cannot go up to 127 like it usually sh…
