  • As a work around, I used Macros for groups, positions, etc. and use OSC to trigger those macros to select those items.

  • You can change the setting in Preferences. I always set mine to leave in background. Under MISC.
  • I always build 4 Effects templates. Effect 101 - Int Efx "OFF" / Effect 102 - Pos Efx "OFF" / Effect 103 - Color Efx "OFF" / Effect 104 - Beam Efx "OFF".... That way I can always select fixtures, "Effect 101" and then a position palette. Then I c…

  • I use batches for all my effects. 1 batch for size. 1 batch for rate. I set both flash buttons to reset to 1x (size to 1x and rate to 1x) so I can quickly reset everything that's attached to them.
  • Ahhhh!!!! Now I see what you're asking. Let me play around today and see what I can find. However, I'm betting you can't get P/T values as it is a mathematical formula around your base values. I'm going to let the powers that be answer that one....…
  • Are you masking with "position" AND "effect"? I just tried it on my console and it works appropriately. Select Fixtures POSITION EFFECT TOUCH...pulls it in.
  • I use a "blue" DP8000 with my Roadhog 4 daily...never had a problem at all. Did 255 event days last year with it.
  • We use a Roadhog 4 and DP8000 being sent to a Enode Pro 8 and don't have any issues. Can you send your network settings from both the console and the Enode? Maybe there is something hidden that isn't showing.
  • It basically comes down to making sure your artnet mapping is all covered (and not 2 consoles sending the same universes). For us as a road house, I have all of my control (internal DP - Universes 1-8 and DP8000 universes 9-24) going out Artnet uni…
  • It's in the manual... https://www.highend.com/pub/support/controllers/documents/html/en/sect-clean_install.htm#sect-usb_drive_windows
  • There is no external artnet control over parameters. The only outside interface is Midi or OSC.
  • What are you actually trying to do? We have a Roadhog 4 as our primary console. When road shows come in with a GrandMa2 that wants control, we do an artnet merge on the hog. With the Hog Artnet merge, you can choose what you want to give to the Gra…
  • The DP and the Console need to be on the same software version in order to communicate. Updating DP8000 - https://www.highend.com/pub/support/controllers/documents/html/en/sect-updating_ob_software.htm
  • Absolutely... What you are looking for on Hog is BATCH lists. https://www.highend.com/pub/support/controllers/documents/html/en/sect-batches.htm I use batch lists for the following: Color Fader time (set batch Fader to be "PLAYBACK RATE" - Top valu…
  • We use an external fader wing with touchscreen (High End version) and haven't had any issues at all with any lagging.
  • Are the faders mapped in the control panel? To attach a Playback Wing: Apply AC power to the wing and connect the wing's USB port and DVI port to the console. Setup → Control Panel → Wings : open the Wings pane of the Control Panel window (see Figu…
  • Faders on virtual wings would be an amazing asset!!!
  • With the appropriate list "Chosen" - GOTO 6 ENTER
  • Thanks! My original question was about labels so I was confused...thanks for clearing it up.
  • Will that grab fader labels or just the fader levels? How would I setup a window for the fader labels? Like the command line, but with the "consolefaderrefresh" label?
  • But that's also really no different than having an HTP on another page...doing PIG+RELEASE and not being able to figure out why a light won't go out. It all comes down to knowing what you have running and how to find it. If I have an HTP fader up …
  • In the DP8000, set it to DHCP "on" since you turned on the DHCP server in the console. It will then load the correct IP range. Or...alternatively, turn off DHCP server and set the console to 172.31.0.001 and the DP to 172.31.0.002.
  • You need ethernet out of the PC to the DP8000. Set your IP range and should be good to go. What specifically do you need help with?
  • It's the same channel layout as the Vivid-R (which is in the library).
  • Yes, you can absolutely drag the playback bar to another screen. There is a vertical bar on the left hand side...click and drag and move it to the new screen.
  • You can use a batch master for fade time. I do it now. I set my "base" time of 2 seconds in the lists. I create a batch for all those lists and set the fader to "Plaback Rate" with a top of 4x and a bottom of 0x. Set the flash button to set to 1x…
  • I've been seeing this on our Master Wing too with 3.6.1. Everytime, it starts up 3, 2, 4. Wonder if it's only present when you have all 3 playback bars present... Anyone???
  • Here ya go... DMX over Cat5
  • If you are using the Cat6 for true DMX and just using the Cat6 as the transport (not a TCP/IP network) then yes it will be fine. The DP8000 doesn't know what type of cable. Just be sure to use proper DMX to RJ45 adaptors as there are multiple pino…
  • My guess is (and you'd have to look at your programmer window) how you're selecting the fixtures. Are you typing 101 THRU 112 HIGHLIGHT NEXT (in that exact order)? If so, if you look at your programmer window, because 102 thru 112 have no informati…
  • We would need a little more information as to what you're trying to do and what your setup is... Do you have a DHCP router on your line Fixture-Net line? IP range you're trying to use? sACN or Artnet? How many setups?
  • It sounds like the show server isn't running. On the startup window, click "SETTINGS" at the bottom. From the manual: When the Run Server option in the Settings window of the start screen is checked, the console is enabled as a show server. A show …

  • Yes it is with playback rate and yes it's percentages. Here's my example.. I have lists 1231>1250 assigned to batch 1 (color time) Lists 1231>1250 are set to a 1 second fade time Batch 1 is on Fader 11 and the fader is set to "Playback Scale …
  • Not a hardware button, but per the manual... "You may need to change the timecode value for one cue, and then change the timecode values for subsequent cues by the same amount, to keep the same relative timings. For example, you might have a series…
  • Or use a turn around and turn one of the outputs into an input... PLEASE....something!
  • From the manual... Important The palettes used to build table effects are not referenced in the effect. Therefore, once the effect is recorded into a cue, scene, or palette any references to the original palettes used to build the effect are lost. …
  • It's all dependent on the media server. Most media servers take DMX...so it's just a matter of patching it and plugging in the DMX line. It all depends on how much "space" you have left on your universes as some media servers can take a LOT of cha…
  • I put my "default" fade time at 2 seconds. This allows me to push up the fader to 16 seconds (I use 8x) or still pull it down for quick 0 counts, etc. I also set my flash button to set the fader back to 1x.
  • I understand that...but what resolution/FPS/Format does Hog change it to? Just trying to keep things simple and get it as close as possible before trying to import it. I don't understand why it's such a hard question to answer.
  • I use Batches to change my playback times regularly. I record all of my lists with 2 second fade times. Then I set my batch to be 0 at bottom, 4x at the top. Set the flash button to reset to 1x. For you question about "faders"....I usually put a…
  • It says to use the link from the Production Support Page. Library Request
  • Correct Michael... The problem becomes when you're doing something like I was...and you don't want it to go all the way down to completely release...but over riding parameters...once you start to go back up (without releasing all the way), you loos…
