  • There are two parts of this discussion in my opinion. -Number one is that we would need to get Artnet out of H3pc. and that is very easy to achieve, its just a matter of unlocking the same amount of art net universes that you have dongles attache…
  • I have always meant that in addition to what marty talks about(unlocking art net universes according to connected dmx widgets) we should unlock universes via art net when wings are connected also. as an example 2 universes pr. wing.. It´s years sinc…
  • yes, midi over ethernet is just two boxes that sends all kind of midi messages over ethernet.
  • -midisollutions have a box that will send midi over 5wire cable over surprisingly long distances. i´ve had 200m work perfectly on several occasions. -Othar than that box, I think your only way is through a midi over ethernet solution
  • no, not really..
  • me thinks it has a rather easy answer... -Cost of production.. Blue anodized CNC´d aluminum is just a tad more expensive to build a product from than bended sheet metal painted black.. -Looks uglier than beautiful original H3 line. but cheap t…
  • buy a neutrik XLR, and a 120 ohm resistor. solder the resistor between pin 2 and 3.
  • Hi there. -I have not swapped the ram modules no.. -I´ll try that when I get the chance. -tbh I don´t know which bios version number it has, but it says Nov 2003 something when booting. I can´t say I ever seen a bios version number anywhere. -I…
  • I still Think 45 is way to much. 10 would be fine
  • when I read the post again, I don´t understand how I missunderstood the original post.. (I don´t have fullboars here, so I wash´t shire how the restriction was implemented, just assumed from phil´s post.) -Anyway, i´m glad I was wrong..
  • Catalyst
  • Totally agree with Phil.. -Limitation in which universes you can use in the art net standard is really not a good implementation. -Sometimes you don´t have control over what universes you need to patch into. -As an example it´s not uncommon to org…
  • Exactly the same I´ve seen on two H3´s here.. No way to upgrade a dp on 3.2.x -Not something on the DP side, I´ve tried with different DP´s.. This is H3 related. -Dp´s that won't upgrade on the two H3´s i´ve seen this problem with are able to up…
  • Just to add into this, and I have seen exactly the same problem here on two different H3's.. Wont upgrade a DP8000.. -Only sollution have been to upgrade through hogpc, and then run it from the H3 as normal.
  • The console is out on a long tv rentall, so I wont be able to test this until the console is back.
  • an easy way to rule out the artnet side is to keep both dp's running(thats when you see the problem) and disconnect the artnet output from one of the dp's. -In this setup both dp's will be online on the hognetwork, and if they are causing this prob…
  • bump -anders
  • Just to clarify. It´s only on H3 it didn´t work. Raodhogs and Hogpc works. -Might have to try to update again to 3.2 and see what happens.
  • it doesn't really matter what show it is.. Happened on two new shows. console was upgraded with full install of 3.2, and also upgraded to 3.2.1 -I did not try to do a full reinstall of 3.2 due to time pressure though.
  • It was x-factor norwegian run.. second last show before the final.. Happened 20 min before we went live.. (when we where going to copy over showfile to backup-console). Show went ok. Runned the whole show with last weeks show loaded on backupconsole…
  • just to add that if you need to link two midi applications running on the same machine, you don't even need a midi hardware.. Midi-yoke is a free virtual midi port hub, with in's and out's, so you can virtually route midi interanlly on a computer..…
  • That´s what i was fearing.. -hovewer, it worked perfect! -for people that´s interersted: this was an NEC/Optiarc 5200A Dvd-r/cd-r
  • it´s a bit more complex than that.. Just hiring in new guys to do osx development does not mean that they can work by themselves.. it will actually take quite a lot of effort for the other developers to help the new guys understand and get an overvi…
  • I´d always wanted a software trick that would temporarily turn the faders into shutter controls.. all 8 + rotation.. I do it manually with ifcb faders, but it would be really nice to have a function to do that! and as someone mentioned earlier in th…
  • jut a little clarification.. Sandnet works with Hog2pc, not Hog3pc! ..-and you still need the dmx widget to "unlock" the feature.. but yes, Sandnet works perfect for that purpose.. you can actually convert from/to a whole bunch of protocols..
  • well, how about a new curve for fan, that is something like this -_- -first half of selection move same amount one way, second half move the same amount the other way.. -If it´s an even selection, middle fixture would stand still? -And another o…
  • I disagree.. actually it would be very easy.. the network port is already there.. all that would be needed is a new "plate" with usb and ethernet on.. too me it looks like HES thought about a possible upgrade when they decided to have that "plate" w…
  • I think that everybody understands, and agrees that for the price you pay for a Roadhog it's a killer board for the money you spend. And is probably THE most cost effective console out there!.. I don't think when people say they want an upgrade, tha…
  • you can easily make an application like the one I wrote for the pocketpc OS to talk to H3pc.. It's still only one way communication, but it's better than nothing.. -Actually when i think about it, it would be very easy to make a client for iphone t…
  • a good implementation of this can maybe be some sort of tabbed panels in the pallettes? -if you didn't know:.. I think most of us are using the views to get what you want. The views store the position in the views, so it's quite easy to just keep…
  • well, hopefully they just drop production of the dp2000, and start shipping 8000's for the same price.. -Or maybe some genious in the sales department has decided that since it is capable of 16 universes, it needs to cost 4 times the dp2000.. unfor…
  • -don't you meen road hog full boar WiNNER?
  • That question has been on my mind quite a few times also.. I sertainly hope so, I think it would be a huge mistake if they don't..-Thats of cource my personal opinion though... I can't see any reason for not enabling artnet out of a hogpc which have…
  • I like the 4th wheel idea, actually i'm pretty shure i requested this a very long time ago.. that was one of the features from H2pc i missed when H3pc initially came out, and i made the switch..
  • Marty Postma wrote: PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE OUR FADERS!! While I agree that motorized faders are a neat gimmick, I absolutely HATE the way that they feel.....too much resistance too stiff. I LOVE the way the Hog faders feel....nice and smoo…
  • yup, the x-keys are just a keyboard, so you just map keyboard buttons to the different keys. so you basically just enters the Hogpc's keyboard shortcuts.. -Very easy!
  • andris is right. this is possible, hovewer, the BCF is not capable of doing this on it's own. you need a piece of software to translate the midi signals from the BCF to the Hog. And as Andris said, this only work's with the first 8 masters, so person…
  • Yes.. I've seen this on some consoles.. -can you see if all the faders go to 0 the moment you reach the end on the ratewheel? -If so,It's most likely that the spring in the ratewheel assembly is not sitting in it's original position, and has rubbed …
  • just out of quriousity.. whast is that litte OB window on the right there?? i don't think i've seen a window like that before?
  • I would guess that this is as designed, becouse when you not are in an editor, how are the desk supposed to know which fixtures inside that cue, you wan't to split the time over? -You could have several types of fixtures in a cue!
  • As for creating looks inside the axon software and then send it to the H3, I much rather prefer a proper connection between the DL2/Axon/any other mediaserver and the H3, with proper clip preview etc. I think it's a better use of developing time, ra…
  • it's a single cue, or actually it's usually several cues with effects in them running on different cuelists.. the saturation is always hardcoded into the same cues. -kinda like one fader with some fixtures that are doing an effect, and another fa…
  • -It's been on different showfiles each time i've seen this, but I'll check the desk tomorrow if i still have the showfile..
  • ahh, had forgotten that.. but i use this all the time.. in 98% of the times i want to stop an effect, it is only for a little moment.. maybe longest for a verse, etc.. so it's usually not a problem if it doesn't stop completely.. BTW, type in 0.01.…
  • record effect speed to 0 in cue 2, and select your fadetime to mach how fast you want it to come to a stop.
  • The touchscreens shouldn't use any more resources than regular screens.. the touch part is recogniced as a pointing device(mouse).. The computers i've built has had 2 or 4 touchscreens, and no problems at all. My personal hogpc rig, is if i remember…
  • I have built several systems over the time.. they are just as stable as the desks.. you just need a dedicated machine, and a fresh install of windows.
  • i usually have other windows open, but none in particular is causing any problem as far as i can tell.. I will try to get the dump for you next time.
