DL2 Went Poopy

Strange happenings with a DL2 today: DMX connected correctly, fixture powers on okay, all the little light come on EXCEPT the projector light. Fixture will not respond to any DMX sent from console (I know that it is getting DMX okay as the fixtures after it in the chain are working fine). The other weird thing....the display on the fixture itself is on, but just on a white screen, and none of the menu buttons are bringing up any thing - just stays on the white screen. Checked the connections on the projector...all look okay. Checked the lamp..seems okay....

Any thoughts?

someone shut down the computer?
hold the top and bottom display buttons, does anything happen?

Chris,

It sounds like everything is powering up, however it seems the computer is not booting. The computer inside the fixture does all of the DMX processing, so if it is not booting correctly, it will cause the fixture to not respond to DMX.

I would suggest calling our support department at 1.800.890.8989. They will be able to troubleshoot the issue much quicker over the phone than attempting to do it on the forums.

We have a very similar issue. If the cable is in the unit and the console is on it boots. If the cable is unplugged and is booted it seems to be ok until we put the cable in and then nothing happens. The menus buttons don't respond. If we boot the fixture with the dmx and cat 5 in it if doesn't finish booting. Any thoughts? Running current software and image.
