OSC Label messages

Hi all!

I'm wondering what the HOG remote would be like if it could send text massages over OSC... for example the command line packed into varables & sent over OSC. dto IPCB values of the pallets, kinds & command keys. I know the Lemur & TouchOSC are prepared for receiving label messages.

    The lack of a view of the command line on a device using Touch OSC is a major issue for me and so if this was able to be implemented it would be really helpful.

    Software exists to export the command line via OSC. It just needs to be run through QA and added to a release. :arms:

    The most I foresee adding to the current OSC implementation would be command line and encoder labels as text messages. Additional items would be candidates not for OSC but for a new application called "hog remote". :outtahere:

    Oh nice! Basically I like the idea of osc because it makes the hog ultra flexible. Many not so popular application have osc in & out ( pd, max/msp, quartz comp) and the syntax is quite organized compared to midi. I'd prefer a osc cmd line and label over osc version than getting a hog remote software...

    Sending osc commands from cuelist/scenes with the simplicity of the syntax like /pd/toggle/1/ would be nice too!

    I agree with inroyal, more OSC features would make the hog much more flexible then an extra hog remote app.
