exploding bulbs dl2

Hi there,

There are four of my dl-2 now on a theater tour. 5 minutes for show time 1 of the dl2's went down en 2 minutes later a second one stopped working. The next day i've been there for troubleshooting and in both units the bulb was exploded.

I think it's pretty strange that 2 bulb explode a couple of minutes after each other. Any suggestions what could have happend ??

You should call support immediately......I know that there was a bad batch of DL.2 lamps out there almost a year ago now.....support will be able to tell you what S/Ns to look out for on replacement lamps.

Are these LX50 or LX55 projectors? What were the lamp hours on them both?

The projectors are lx55 and bulb hours where around 350 hours. I the past i had one dl2 where the bulb was dousing after one hour, this was one of the bulbs of the bad batch. I thought i chekked all my bulbs at that time for the serials and the others where ok, but mayby i'm mistaking.
