Backspace when text editing

I would really like to see the backspace work normally when in text editing mode. I know the double backspace is a reserved keystroke for clearing the command line while programming, but it makes editing names pretty clunky as if you hit backspaces too quickly they don't register. As a church operator, we reuse and rename cuelists/pallets on a weekly basis and having to backspace really slowly or hi-light then delete text becomes a little cumbersome. It seems the console could know if you are programming or typing text and change the interpretation of double backspace accordingly.

thanks.
