Hi all! I have a strange issue. My blue Hog 3 USB widget is not working correctly. It is connected to Hog 4 PC (latest version), and is recognized by the software. I have it properly connected and mapped in my DP8000 config. The “active” light comes on, but the “Link” light never does, nor does the DMX indicators. What could be wrong? Thanks!
Hi, What version of software are you using? I'm have a similar issue with exactly the same problem. Super Duper widget is recognized and can be mapped. I'm running this on a nano system.
Hi, what version of software is installed in the Hog PCs? Are they laptops, tablets, desktops, what kind of PC is being used? O/S etc? There isn't any known issues at this time.
Hi Mitch, I'm using Hog PC v 3.10 Using Win 10 Pro on an all in in one PC with a nano + superduper widget. No networking. Super widget appears in the show and can be mapped correctly,you can beacon each output correctly. I've uninstalled the widget and reinstalled but still no output. The universes work correctly when patched on the Nano.
Hi Cormac, if another PC is available, as a test possibly see if it gives the same response with the widget. We have tested the widgets we all use here with v.3.11 and are not seeing any issues, and not getting other reports. It is possible the widgets have a hardware issue and need repair.
Hi Mitch, I'll finish this short run and try and test on another PC and install v3.11 also to see if anything changes. It may just need a reinstall of Hog4PC. I do have a feeling it's a Windows driver issue at play but I'm just guessing here. The widget behaves like it's working and functional but doesn't output. Out of curiosity when a super widget is correctly installed which of the red LED indicators on the front should be active or display when it is connected correctly? Will reply with results. Thanks C
I sometimes have similar problems with a Super Duper Widget (black).
When these problems occur, the widget is mapped correctly in DP settings and it looks like it's recognised properly by Hog PC, as the software plays out sACN and Art-Net. The widget just doesn’t output DMX on all of it's 8 dmx ports. When that's the case, just the lower two LEDs (“Power” and “USB”) are lit. When I then reboot Hog PC, SOMETIMES the widget shows three LEDs (“Power”, “USB” and "DMX Data") and outputs DMX as normal. But NEVER the "Status"-LED is lit. This happened to me several times with v3.10.0 AND v3.11.0 on different Notebooks (and different installations, of course).
The same widget works perfectly fine in combination with our Hog consoles (FB4/RH4 v3.10.0/v3.11.0).
Hi Mitch, Can you/team advise what LED's on the front of the Superduper-Widget should indicate when correctly installed and working correctly. Currently i can see the Widget and map it correctly in Hog PC S/W 3.11.0 b2117. Power LED - Solid Red USB - Solid Red DMX data - Solid Red Status - off/no colour
