I'm a bit curious to hear how your designer is hitting this key accidentally, since it's in a corner of the front panel. I haven't had anyone complain about this before.
We could certainly add a preference or an option in the page directory to disable this key. I don't think it would be a good idea to map a different hard key to Next Page, but it would be possible to make this an option for the user-definable trackball buttons.
You could also build 2 empty cuelists that have the CP+ and CP- comment macros, which change to the next page or previous page. You could then run these cuelists from a master of fire them directly from the command line or cuelist directory.
the designer need to have front light with right hand on masters 7 thru 10 and general cuelist on master 2, masters 3 to 6 are bumps and chases.
With the left hand position on master 2 one finger is realy near the next page key.
The idea to disable the next page key and map it on a trackball button sounds good.
thanks
Steph
I've looged your request for a way to disable the Next Page key as enhancement #10689 and your request to map a trackball button to Next Page as enhancement #10690.
Thanks.
Get a plastic cap from a bottle of water and place it over the offending key...problem solved.
Keep your page directory open and use the touchscreen when you want to change pages or use "CP" macros.
Hope this helps.:)
we do a removable cap with the bottom of a cigarettes package and tape.
