(Bug or Feature?) Removing List from Master retains fader value.

2.3.0 b740
Full Boar 4

I think this is intended behavior, wondering if there is a trick to adjust from List Window?

Create a list on a master, run list with fader up. Bring fader down (or any level below 100). Delete list from master. Now, running list virtually from 'List Window', the values are at limited by the last fader value, even though they are no longer attached to fader. (Real fun to troubleshoot when fader was at 0%)

Manual states (17.2) that virtual masters are always at full intensity, however I can see how this would be a desirable feature in some cases.
Wondering if there was a way to adjust virtual list fader level other than putting it back on a master? (Like when I have them all full). Thinking something like List window 'Guard' ON, Holding desired List palette while adjusting a physical fader?

Thanks
