This is one of those "ghosts in the machine" that has been bugging us for a while. It primarily affects the Macro and List keys, happens rarely, doesn't seem to have any way to consistently reproduce the problem, and is luckily only a cosmetic problem that shouldn't affect console operation in any way.
If you happen to find a way to reproduce this, please let us know. Otherwise, we already have a defect open for this problem and we'll continue to keep an eye out for it.
Comment macros are working extremely well and offer a great way to automate events. As you know, we have not released software that includes keystroke macro functionality, but this is planned for a future release.
