The Technobeams are very easy to work on.
Just remove the 4 screws in the handles to remove the rear bezel.
Unplug the XLR data wire going from the rear bezel to the logic board.
Remove the two green screws holding the sled to the side bezels.
Slide the sled out about two inches then unplug the P/T wires near the head.
Remove the sled.
Then use canned air to blow out the fixture.

So the XLR pins were supposed to stay in place? :/ I ripped the male one out with ease....not so much the female, so I had to break off the PCB..turns out it was made in 1996... :( old light has been cleaned since and works like a charm....

Called Strong the tech support guy wasn't helpful at all :(

Do you have a part number for the circuit board and the actual connectors?

Also, slide the entire unit out of the body. Turn on side to access the fan.
For the outside I suggest Dow Bathroom Cleaner (Scrubbing bubbles). Best thing I have ever used hands down. Grunge, smoke, nicotine and all sorts of club goo goes away with a good soaking and a sponge. Just rinse off & they look like new. Clean the dicros & lenses (note which slot they go in) & you're good to go.:headbang: Don't forget the green screws when you re assemble!

Scrubbing bubbles!!!! works VERY WELL!!! also don't forget the pan &
tilt wires running up the back! very easy to pinch when putting light back together!

What is the trick for not pinching the P/T wires? Are you supposed to keep the wires taught from the mirror side? I thought I read on here to use a tube to help protect these wires.

The sled should have a notch cut out. I use a long screwdrive or T-Handle to guild the wires into the notch before pushing the sled all the way in.

They should not get pinched, but watch them as you slide the sled in.
