New to DL3

Hi There,

Glad to hear more DL3 in the closer areas of Nordic.
First it would be interessting to hear who sold them to you, and how old they are. If they are not new, they will most certainly benefit from a Software upgrade to the V2 Software released after summer. Just connect your Laptop and use the CMA you find here:

I think the procedure is very well described in the manual too, but a few small tips when you are new to the DL3:
- You need to take up the brightness of Motion AND Global AND Layer to see a output
- The Modifiers for the Collage is under the Color Parameters, where the first modifiers are under CMY
- You should use the Effect Enhanced Collage for a straight 2 x 2 collage

it is 4 used pcs. from ACLighting.. the softwaer is 1.5.0.2009 so i think i will upgrade them tp the newest..

When you go to v2 try to always run them off ArtNet instead of DMX 5-pin since they will jump to 480 channels per fixture with all 9 layers in use....so in other words one unverse per fixture. So DP-8000 or Full Boar is going to be essential. And since you can assign the IP range of the ArtNet to anything wil Hog-3 you won't need a DHCP router as with some other consoles.

For numbering try to do this.
All Motions: 1-4
All Globals: 11-14
GFX-1s: 101-104
GFX-2: 201-204
etc....thru 901-904

It is a bit harder to patch this way since you have to enter each number, but ultimately this will make it easy to select fixture ranges from the keypad as well as groups.

If you get "lost" in what you are doing the Control Mode "9 in 1" from the Global fixture is a great way to see what is going in each layer as well as Global output.

Is it posible to have 1 DL to use the camera and another to projekt it.?. wiht out any ohter cabeling.. ?

Hi Christian,

You will need wiring between units for that. You can even daisy chain units with SDI (Coax) from one to the other and have 3 do a Collage of the camera feed from the first.

Any body no if it posible to se Thumbmails (msex) from DL3 to Chsmsys Consol ? ;o) ?

This is not currently supported in DL.3. It's something we are investigating for the future though.
