64 bit compatible ?

When I try to run it on Win Vista 64 I get an unknown exception and the program closes.

No, absolutely not

What did the installer information window say?

"This app is designed to operate on win XP (SP2 or greater), Vista or Seven OS"
&
"Hog3pc 3.1.4 (2720) setup wizard ended prematurely"

Also, the protection programs were turned off during the process.

It was the UAC that got me. Thanks for the refresher.

After reading some other posts, it sounds that this new release works on vista & seven x64, but does anyone else experienced it on XP pro 64-bit ?

You are correct in that we have a bug that will not allow you to install on Windows XP 64-bit. We are currently working on this and hope to have it fixed soon.
As you stated Vista and Windows 7 64-bit is currently working.

The issue with Hog3PC and Wholehog connectivity driver installation failures on Windows XP 64-bit machines has now been resolved in v3.1.5 which was released this Wednesday. Keep in mind, 64-bit device drivers are still in developement and items like USB dmx widgets will still not work with those machines.
