DL3 iris

Hi,
having a bit of an issue with a DL3 iris which does not seem to calibrate correctly.
I have watched the fixture power up and the encoder seems to count the teeth and then set the iris accordingly which is not happening correctly at the moment.
Any ideas on what could be causing this and what if anything i can do to fix this,it is not an everytime thing but just randomly happening.

Cormac,

Could you provide a little more detail on what is happening when it's not getting set correctly? Does the iris not close all the way? Does it not open all the way? Is the motor misstepping?

Hi Matt,
Motor is not misstepping.
Iris will not close fully after it has powered up but does open and close when it is powered up.
When it has powered up i cannot get the console to close the iris fully.

Hi Cormac,

One thing you could check is if there are any signs of damage or bending to the homing tab that is on gear mounted to the iris. Also, make sure that the homing sensor is mounted securely.

When the iris does not close all the way, how much is it not closing by? Is it a pin-hole? Or something larger?
