What we are trying to do is output media from the Axon via the SDI out to a PC running Arkaos Mediamaster with a SDI capture card. The Arkaos is purly there for pixel mapping purposes.

We have done this before using a composite capture card and the dvi out from the Axon passing the signal thru a extron converter.

The question is will the axon output SDI video?

cheers

The only "output" from an AXON is via the DVI port on the GFX card.

AXON can accept an SDI or HD-SDI input (depending on which capture card is in your unit).

If you need SDI output you will need a scan converter to go from DVI to SDI.....I recommend a Folsom Image Pro-HD for this.

    Hope this helps. :)

Pretty much what Marty said... then you can use an SDI capture card to get the Axon output into the pixelmapping computer or server.

Black Magic's "DVI Extender" is a pretty nifty product for this:
