Silly HSI question

So, this seems like it should be pretty basic, but the solution eludes me...

Is there a trick for making fades between HSI colors without going through the colors in between? For instance, a fade from Blue to Amber without everything turning GREEN in the middle would be nice.

I've got a bunch of RGB LEDs and some StudioColors on my RoadHog. At least, thanks to color matching, they all do the same thing together!

I'm pretty sure that this has been addressed in previous threads, and that there is no good answer. I personally have tried changing the path to almost every conceivable variation with no success. There have been previous suggestions to switch to CMY for these particular transitions, but doing this within a cuelist is a BAD idea. Hopefully it will be addressed by HES soon as I agree, it is a huge inconvenience. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
