Doing a 'glow party' in a couple months. probably about 700 people. I'll have two 30 foot trusses on either side of the room. They're also having a dj present. From a design perspective i'd like to be able to achieve moving black light. I have a bunch of Studio Spot 250's that actually have a UV in the color wheel and works nicely, but was thinking of getting something else to really punch. Perhaps Studio Commands or Beams? Can they achieve a UV or similiar effect? Any experience?
I thought that there is a 400W (?) version as well, but maybe you can contact your local Philips dealer.
only thing: they have to "glow up" a few minutes before maximum output, and you can not use them for 10 minutes or so before using again. Therefor not to put on a dimmer!!
Nothing beats a true blacklight for things like this. I've used them all...and always end up back at Wildfire. Their units can PUNCH and, if set right, can do a nice long throw.
