DL-2 Stock Content Not Looping?

There could be a couple causes. One of which would be the hard drive starting to fail possibly. Knowing what generation hardware you have in there would help as well: www.highend.com/support/digital_lighting/DigitalLightingServerHardware.asp

The easiest thing I would suggest doing would be downloading the current XPE O/S and loading that just so that we are starting from a known point and can compleletely rule out software and O/S level issues so we are just looking at hardware.

Thanks...they are about 2 1/2 years old and are currently hung here for an event.
I will be in touch in the following weeks once we get them back to the shop.

Yes they are, I am fairly certain that it's the latest version software in/on both.
Just strange how it doesn't effect any custom content, and we have a ton of it on our units.

Honestly, it could be the custom content that is causing the stock content to play strangely. What version of software is running on your fixtures?

As far as the custom content goes, is this custom content for the show that you are currently doing? If it isn't, I would get it off the units and see if the problem doesn't go away.

Interesting, I'm willing to delete all the custom content files/directories from the servers on all the units and see what happens, There's a ton of them. There are a number of custom content directories that we have created over the past couple years. We sometimes use files from other shows and have saved them all on the units.

The fixtures are currently on a truck heading home from the west coast, as soon as I get them back here in the shop I will be able to take a closer look in a more controlled environment. They are running the most current software that was published here on the site and through the account notification process, I think last year sometime. I can verify the version when they return. What is the most recent version available?

The most current is 1.5 which if you run that conbined with CMA 1.5, CMA will actually reject any bad content that you try to load onto the units. It is about 3 weeks old at this point.

In previous versions there were content problems that could slip by and cause the issues that you are seeing.

It just a good idea to remove it all and see if the issue goes away. One piece of bad content can cause all sorts of problems, and since you guys are just collecting it on the units, there may be one or two that slipped in.

Anyway.....current software version is 1.3.3.1309
I assume the best progression to upgrade to the most current version (1.5.) would be to upgrade to the 1.4.0.1699 platform and then to the most current 1.5v??????

Yes, that is correct. Imaging to 1.4.0 is required before upgrading to 1.5.0.
