Full Boar Artnet universes

You are limited to 12 universes of Art-Net directly out of the Full Boar yes. If you require more, the best option would be too hire a DP8000 and output Art-Net via that too.

Well.. did you specify how many universes of Art-Net you needed? And my suggestion was to keep your Full Boar and add the DP8K via the Hog-Net port and use either the fixture link on the rear of it or use 5 pin Art-Net. Out of interest, where are you located? Who is your local dealer?

I live in Finland. Usually located around the bubble. Just a bit fed up with people/companies with empty promises. Well, my mistake. Whichever way you look at it.

For example, buy Full Boar now and get full art-net implemented during the next software update. Nothing hinted that you still need those silly expensive gadgets to get "full" art-net. Of course you should read the smallest printed sections with a magnifying glass but I didn't. My bad, I suppose.

The Full Boar can have 12 via the ethercon port called "fixture link" on its rear panel. Now whether you can use your four 5 pin universes as Art-net aswell, I do not know. You are getting "full Art-Net". The reason it is limited is probably because of the processing speeds. This is an overall concept with the Hog platform, if you want more output, add more DPs, thus keeping the speed of the network the same. If it is not possible to configure the four on board universes to Art-Net, then the best option would be add a DP8K to the network.

All consoles are limited, even if you can patch all artnet universes you want, artnet must be genarated and so use processor and memory ressources, things that are not unlimited. I don't know a lot of consoles that have 16 universes (12 + 4) without extexnal rack.
