X.Spot Errors

I reset it and yelw goes away but ROT1 tab not found comes up. Software version 4.1.3

look at the 2 phase cards, and see that the LED's that correspond with the offending sensor is changing color as the tab for Gobo1 rotate goes by it.
Those sensors are very cheap, and easy to replace.

I'll take a look tomorrow. On a good note, I used your directions I found on LN to replace my lenses. I think the xtremes are brighter than my 700's -- i never thought i'd say that out loud.

Each of the errors come off a different card ... and all the motors are spinning. I looked at the wheels, they all have the silver tabs ....

The only time I have seen errors like this is when I had a bad two phase that apparently was conflicting with the others on the bus, and corrupting data from the sensors. If all else fails, try swapping the affected two phase cards out one at a time with a known good card to isolate the culprit. While sensors may have gone out, losing four simultaneously is a bit hard for me to believe . . . .

It also could be a loose 2 phase card grounding screw,
that will cause lots of phantom errors as well.
Good deal on the lenses,
Dirty lenses are the biggest culprit in Xspot output problems.

I found my problem. I took the color module out and did not realize there were tabs on the non-screwed side, thus the gobo wheel was hitting it when the focus dropped. Odd that the yellow came up though, since it's in the middle. Works now though ;-)

Glad to hear that you found it! I think that the X-Spot gets a bad rap on reliability - it is just so darn complex, that there are more things to make sure to get right . . .
but one of my favorites otherwise!
