Burning show files to CD on a Mac

I use Toast and have had good luck.

My guess is that the mac expanded the compressed archive when the file was downloaded.
I believe on a mac they way to download without expanding is to hold the control button as you click the download link.
(But I might be incorrect)

The files I have saved on the console and moved to my Mac seem the same so I guess the ones I have downloaded are still compressed.

The CD saving 2 shows on the console and copying them to another CD on Mac look the same and are of the same size!

Are you burning the disk in the Apple Disk Utility? If so try to burn it with a burn folder. In the past that was the only way to make a mac burned cd readable on a pc.

Another way is select the files on the desktop that you want to burn to disk...then go to File (next to Finder)...then Burn towards the bottom of the menu.

Also check to see that the show file extensions are all present on the CD... for example it should be "showname.hog3.tar.gz" Some programs will drop the ".gz" and then the console will not see the file as a proper show file.

This is generally what happens on the Mac I've found.

Just add the extension back in and it's usually good to go.

Now if there were a direct port of Hog3PC on Mac....you could tell instantly. :poke::poke::poke::poke::poke:

Yeah I did check the extentions which seem to be fine.

I checked something new today which was, using the the disc I had burnt on my Mac with all the new shows. I put in a PC running Hog 3 PC and I can access all files fine.

I assume there is not a fault with the drive in the consoles as they can save and load shows burnt from a console.

So I am still confused
