FB with DP2k and network switch

If you go directly to the DP you need a crossed cable....If you go through a switch you need straight cables.

Make sure you are setting your DPs to a Net# of 3 or higher as well as #1 & #2 are reserved for the interanl processes that handle widgets.

why is it so withe straight cable.and by hog 3 i have cross over cable to the switch and notebook to switch with pc an anda dp -its ok?

Some (but not ALL) switches can "sense" what type of cable is needed and switch internally to correct for the correct type.

it is better in princible with a straight cable to the switch by fb and w3?
and from the switch through the dp with straight cables too?

when by fb connected a dp with 2.6 software no function,the same with a older software version funktion is ok??

It should work fine. how is your DP connected? Is it set to DHCP or a static IP? Is the Net # of the DP "3" or higher?

If your DP 2000 is working with an older software version but not with 2.6, it is possible the DP 2000 did not get updated to v2.6 as it needs the same software version as the console.

You can look in the Control Panel of the DP 2000 and the software will version will be listed in the top line of text.

If the console does not prompt you to update the DP 2000 you can manually do it by pressing and holding all three front panel buttons on the DP 2000 when powering up the unit. About 5-10 seconds after powering the DP 2000 you can release the three buttons.

i check this, dp are on 4 an 2.6 .static ip two dp 2000 over a switch to the console via straight cable
by 2.6 no funktion,by 2.5 is very good??
in moment on show.
