Full Boar/Hog 3 PC

am currently checking the build level on the boar. If I tried to load a show from a later version would that *** the server on the version that I'm running on the pc?

ideally you'd want both to have the same build.

from my experience, sometimes I have tell the "server not responding" message to keep trying a couple of times before it finally launches the server.

Both are on the same build. The fact that I can't get hog3pc to load any other show either makes me wonder.

I'm pretty sure that I'm having a problem with the loop back adapter. I have a network icon in my tray saying that I have limited or no connectivity with the loopback adapter. I have uninstalled and re-installed 3PC 2.6.0. (2071) The network adapter keeps saying that its trying to acquire an new network address. I have disabled my firewall and tried repairing the network adapter and loading the show. I am connected to the internet with a WLAN card while I do this. Is there a way that I can manually input the IP address?

Its rare that I have movers on my tv show and I would like the ability to pre program for my boar. The boar is working fine save a couple of screen lockups that required a reboot. I guess I'll call you guys

I had this working before and connected to my wyg perform and I don't know what happened. All I tried to do was load a backup show from the boar.

I have noticed that, at least with WYSIWYG connectivity, that having WLAN enabled makes the adapter default to that, and for some reason, will not talk to anything else. Maybe your system is defaulting to that. Try and disabling the WLAN.

Let me see if i have this correctly. Your using the loopback adapter on the HogPC and are trying to connect to the show on the FB? If your using the loopback in Hog then (in theory) the program is only talking itself. In settings on the boot screen choose to use your WLAN card (or whichever you are using to connect to the internet) to use as the device to connect to the server.

I'm not actually connecting the boar and 3PC. I'm trying to load a backed up show file from my boar into 3PC via a jump drive. the two computers are not connected. I suppose I should try this with a crossover cable but my knowledge base on networking hogs is woefully small.

I spoke with HE today (Mitch) and we got my 3PC to start. Disabling any other adapter and turning off the firewall is what I think did the trick. Later, when I tried to load the show file that I backed up after my programming session today, I ran into several errors. I have a jpg of the error messages I've uploaded. I'll try and make sure that i can start 3PC again tonight. The loopback adapter says its connected now, which it didn't before.

Did you copy the show folder from the hard drive or did you actually use a backup file?

I backed up a session on the FB and put it on a jump drive as the media.

I have now been able to load 3PC! I still cannot load the show I put on the Jump

I just noticed that there is a button on the upper right of the update screen that says "dismount usb drive". I didn't use this button, useful as it may be. I'm used to my pc in which I can just pull it; though I do close the drive window before hand. this maybe why I can't mount the show. I also wonder if I should back up on a hard drive then move the file to the jump.

Now that I've gotten 3PC to load I've mimicked the patch in a new show and am trying to hook up to wyg, which I've done a bunch before and it isn't happening. Matched patch, bound both universes, launched 3PC first, then launched Wyg 1st, the DP says that its connected: user 1, port 6600.

Oh well, I put too many hours on the show this week anyway.

To let everyone know the issue here was with the loop back. Trying to load a show with firewall software and another network adapter working forced the loopback adapter out of the loop. Closing all network adapters except the loopback and shutting down the firewall enabled the show file to load.

The wysiwyg file still hasn't loaded and connected to the hog. I've sent that file to Cast to figure out what is going on. The patch is correct to my knowledge and other shows that i've built do connect to the hog.

annoying but I don't think its a hog issue but rather a wysiwyg issue.

Thanks for the update that it is working now (except the WYG). Mitch in HES support always does a great job helping customers...

I am sure that Cast will also help you with the WYG file.
