Manual Crossfader

I know that you can set a master to be a manual crossfader for a cuelist on the H3, but I noticed on the H2 there is a dedicated manual crossfader and I have two questions. . . .

1) Does the manual crossfader on the H2 operate the chosen master?

2) Can you map a master on H3 to do the same thing?

Any comments are helpful
  • Snowman,

Yes, In H2 you hold down the choose of the selected master and use the manual fader.

In H3 the short answer is no.
That being said there are many ways to manipulate time.
--- you can type in the time: goto list 1 cue 3 time 10 enter
--- you can hold down the choose button and use the rate wheel to speed up or slow down the fade. (on a H3)
---you can hold down the choose and use the first encoder wheel. This will hold the rate until you re-adjust this.
--- you can also set this rate in the cue list preferences.

I do not know where the developers are going with this issue, but it is my hope that in the future we will be able map such a master or use macros to enable / disable the manual option on the fly.

I hope this makes sense and helps... the manual can explain all of this in more detail.

    Best,

    Scott
  • oh, ok... ... ... ...
I thought it would be a nice alternative to opening the cuelist, selecting all the cues entering and saving a new fade time...... all live!!
