Urgent, messed up show!

The best thing to do is to re-load from a backup of your showfile. This will restore your settings.

If this is not possible, you can simply change the user number of the fixture by selecting the cell in the spreadsheet and then press SET and type the number you want.

Or if you want it to behave exactly as another fixture, then select the fixture you want it to be like in Patch and then use REPLICATE from the top toolbar. You will get a fixture that is a "copy of xxxx" you can then chage this new fixture's number as above. The advantage to this is that all your palettes, scenes, cues, etc will have programming data exactly the same as your source fixture.

Then to re-patch simply select the fixture in Patch and use UNPATCH from the top toolbar. After that press "@" from the keypad and select the new Patch location.

It sounds like you just need to repatch your fixture. As Marty said, simply chang ethe user number and enter in the new patch information. If you need to unpatch you can do this too (it will not remove the fixture and programming, it will just unpatch). The only way to remove a fixture from your show is to use the Remove button in the patch window.

Hrm ok, I think i have got it just one more question. In the patch window of hog 3 pc the coloums go by Fix Num Note DP Patch. After Martys post I managed to get Num to read 1. Fix still reads 9, is this ok and will my show resume to normal even though thats at 9?

Yes the fixture number is simply an internal reference number that really doesn't affect most programming.

Hey, so i patched the light as 1:1 and it responds and its working, the only problem is even though i updated the palettes the cue-list does not have fixture 1 programmed into it. In the output fixture 1 is not showing anything, is it possible to update all the cues to put fixture one there?

palletes are just a reference point, so while they hold the information of what to tell the fixture to do, they wont actully do it until the the cue list tells it to. If this is another light in a series, you can try cloning the fixture in the patch (sorry to go there) and that should help you out a lot more rather than having to go into each cue and rewrite what the fixture is supposed to do.
