Many Highlight and Lowlight

This is an interesting idea. I often have multiple highlight palettes and I just change to the assignment to the palette I need at a particular time. I will log this suggestion.

I have not previously used Highlight pallets, but I would like to in the future.

I just practiced it and used the Intensity pallet to store it.

What pallet do you guys usually put it in?

Usually I use an existing palette and simply assign it to be the Highlight....I personally don't make a separate Highlight palette very often.

Most of time I create 3 highlight palettes, one with no gobo, one with, one no gobo.

I personally always make a highlight palette that has intensity, white color, and NO beam parameters. I prefer to have highlight ONLY adjust color and intensity and not change my zoom, focus, gobo, etc. Of course this is a personal choice...

My default highlight is a global palette with intensity at FL and color at WHITE.
My default lowlight is the same but with color at Mix UV.

I believe this was the default on Status Cue and the method I've used the most since. It's generally stored in my beam palettes.

I've also found it useful, when collaging DL.2s and .3s to make a set of Highlight palettes that highlight into the collage generator alignment grid. As I'm working through various pieces of content, I can quickly highlight my digital fixtures, which takes them (temporarily) into an alignment grid, tweak the collage generator settings, and update my collage palette.

A multi-layer highlight (Pig+Highlight maybe?) would seem to be a great feature.

Also, is it already possible to select a palette as highlight or lowlight via a comment macro? If not, this could be handy.

I find it interesting that you use Highlight for the alignment grid. I usually just place this on a master and then can use the flash key.... This is one of the great things about consoles, many ways to accomplish the same tasks...

Mmmm. Flash key. I like it. I'm going to have to steal that one.

One of the cool things about the highlight/lowlight setup in this situation, is that you can set your lowlight at something like 75% intensity, which makes it very easy to spot the currently selected fixture.

Of course I dont just use the flash key, I also can hit play on the cuelist to enable the grid and lock it on. Then pressing play again I can release it.
