Hog III and IPC with wings

i was working at a festival last week with the following setup
1 x Hog III + 2 rock wings
1 x IPC Hog III mode + 1 rock wing

I was touring the IPC/wing and used the Hog III show as a basis for my show and programmed while other acts were onstage.
Can someone explain what the best way to get around the HTP holdover thing that happens if you have wings connected and then add them back in to the show.
As the saved show had Hog III + 2 rockwings any information on the second wing which i did not have on my IPC would come to full and stay on as soon as i loaded my show which included all the generic channels etc etc.
My workaround was the delete every cuelist on the wings and start from scratch which seems like a slow way to transfer show.
Pig release did not work and only released what was on the IPC and first wing.

If we choose no wings in the config of the Hog III show setup anything that was programmed on those wings would come to full so i couldn't save a show with no wings either.
I know this is the HTP thing that is still happening on both the IPC and Hog III which has been around for a bit

Any idea's on how to avoid this.

Hi Cormac, in the PREFERENCES window you can select VIRUTAL FADERS from the tabs on the left. You will see 8 pop down boxes that all default to UP. If you change these to DOWN it will solve your problem. This will cause the faders on wings that are no longer connected to default to down instead of up.
