Making an AVO fader LOL

I had an odd request, which I could not seem to get to work. The user, an obvious avohead, wanted a fader, for the colorwheel on a cyberlight. I tried everything (I could think of) -- IPCB, man xfade, etc, and no success. Any ideas how to do something similar to this? It's come up more than once with something like color, gobo, anything thats not 0/255ish.

IPCB crossfade should work just fine. I use it all the time for CMY on-the-fly, as well as gobo rotation speeds to name a few.

Did you want to control the roll speed or just colour position? Make sure there is no other lists/scenes that are stomping it with a higher priority.

    Hope this helps.:)

i use it for cmy, position, speed, but since the cl's only have slots it doesn't seem to work. works for a mac250 with continous color...

Ahhh....well make sure to build the IPCB list/scene from the encoder wheel not the slot bar or you might see a few weird things happen.

did that- and tried different parameters (using open which is 255 vs congo 50% which is ouputting at 194) as well. The DMX output doesn't change during the xfade.

Cyberlight CX is a little tricky. An IPCB fader with a LINEAR path will work but the trick is that the slotted color value recorded in the cue/scene has to be RED.

They are actually CL's -- I'll give it a try with a linear path with red when i'm in tomorrow. What about Rgobo and Sgobo?

Probably the same thing for those parameters. If their path goes "backwards" then recording the IPCB cue/scene with the slot that is directly after open should work.
