Hi, I often use vast numbers of desk channels and was wondering about a channel step function. It makes it easier as you dont have to make as many groups. Like 1 thru 20 chanstep 5 would select 1 and every fith desk channel. Cheers Nigel
Hi, I'm not sure if you aware or if it might help but you can use repeat/buddying to create the type of complex groups you are talking about. This will give you the ability to group or gang selections.
Try the Hog III manual 15.4.6 or page 124 of my manual for more information or a search will probably give you other posts.

The basic idea suggested by Tom Webber says: "f You have 12 in a row, and 10 rows, to select each time the first fixtures in a row, while the numbers are 1 to 12 for the first row, 13 to 24 for the second and so on, it would be nice to be able do do something like "1 thru 120 / 12" which would give you 1 13 25 and so on.
In fact "a thru b / c" will select each c's fixture starting from a (included) all the way thru b."
Hi, Is it not possible to get the grouping and budding function working with the next and back buttons? you select then your spots turn grouping 3 part on, and then by pressing the Next button it will select spots 1, 4, etc. by the next press it will select 2, 5, etc. and so on.
Grouping and Buddying are tools that are used only when Fanning. They do not change the order of fixture selection, therefore the next/back keys are not affected by them either.
