iPC 3rd Touchscreen issue

Hi,
My current workaround is to start the IPC without the third monitor cable connected to the monitor,when the console boots then connect the monitor.
If in the other hand you can connect the monitor and everything works for a certain amount of time before becoming problematic my guess is you may have an ELO touchscreen that may not be functioning correctly or perhaps in rare case's un-supported version.

Please list the elo touchscreen model and see if someone can give you some more information.

I can confirm cormacjack's thoughts. The bug with the XPE Image and the type of motherboard is known, you have,to get it working, to put the screen while the desk is booted.
But I never tried a touchscreen, so my guess is too, that there is a problem with the touchscreen, already tried to use it as primary or secondary screen ?
But then again, the touchsensors give their information via the usb cable, where the screen issue itself is in the graphics adapter initialisation.

Maybe another USB port to try the screen, or swap the usb ports of the primary screen and the third one. But this seems to be an issue of the elo itself. But if you unplug primary display and usb and replace this one by the 3rd screen, You will see if it is the 3rd screen or something software based.

While waiting for the update of the XPe image for this version of the motherboard, you will anyhow have to keep on plugging/unplugging the screens during reboot.

Thanks for the suggestions. I suspect it is a software issue and not the monitor as it is brand new. Will confirm monitor status using your suggestions and re-post. Waiting for console to come back from a rental...DD

If you can connect the third monitor and everything works for a certain amount of time before the touch becomes problematic then there is something funky going on with the touchscreen driver. Let's confirm the model number on the 17" Elo.

In response to the 3rd monitor VGA issue also mentioned in this thread:
We do have Hog3PC software in alpha test right now that fixes the third monitor display issue on bootup. It was fixed on the application level and did not require an XPE image to fix. Our next public software release will fix that issue.

Is this an issue with Hog2 on the IPC as well? If so I'm guessing that HES has no plans to fix it because the Hog 2 software is no longer being developed... Just curious

The Third Monitor VGA Output on bootup fix pertains to all software running on the iPC.

Hi Chris, Any idea as to when the software update will be released? I'm hoping by December 15th as my New Year's Eve show would greatly benefit from having that 3rd touchscreen. Thanks a bunch, DD

Current plans are to have this release finished and out the door by the end of November.
