Order of Modes on Parameters

Is there a way to change the order of the different modes on parameters? For example, I can't count how many times I have selected Beam then moved the Gobo <> parameter wheel only to notice after I touched it that the "mode" for that parameter was Index instead of Rotate. There are many shows where I am not interested in the Index mode so I would like to be able to put the Rotate mode first. I am using the Hog3 PC v2.2.2 (b1809).

That sounds like a feature request. I think it would be nice to have the programmer default to the last chosen action. I think this would be useful for all of the slotted functions (Strobe, Gobo rotate, Gobo Wheel Spin, Iris, ect).

You can use the wheelset editor to change the order that parameters appear on the encoders (Preferences/Wheelset Editor). However I think that you mean the individual modes of a gobo wheel and this is not currently possible to edit. I found bug #3923 logged with a similar discussion and have added your comments.

Brad, thanks for the reply. I am talking about the different modes on a single parameter wheel. I looked at the Wheelset Editor and wanted to make sure I was not missing something. I like Lee's suggestion of having the Programmer remember the individual mode last chosen for each parameter wheel. I would assume you would want to make it a preference setting since some people may have come to depend on its current behavior.

Hi there
I like this idea :)
It would be nice if the mode with a active cuelist / scene value is on the wheel.
When the priority is on gobo rotation and i have a cuelist active with gobo index, the mode is automatically with the index function on the wheel.
