I am happy to report that we are internally testing the mark cues right now! We hope to enter beta within a few weeks. Also the clock triggers and several other features are complete and in the next build that is planned for release before the end of the year. The macros are still under development and will be coming in a different release a short time later.

Just for clarification, a Mark Cue is just a blank cue to position your lights before their intensity is set right?

Hey Pimmer, I run a live venue and do all shows on the fly. How does the effects rate control work?

If you hold the choose button down you will notice that the second encoder wheel will change to show effect speed. But you must be using the latest library verson. See the 2.2.2 release notes.

Is this on any Choose Button? I just installed the latest software and I don't get that effect speed, so maybe I need the newest fixture library? But my library is - FPS v4.1.5 , isn't that the newest?

Also, how exactly does this differ from Cuelist Rate. I am at the club right now and my pdf files aren't loading, so I can't see the release notes just yet. Thanks!

V4.1.5 is indeed the newest library. And it should work on any choose-button.
Did you install the new software and loaded and old show created with an older library before v4.1.3? Or did you start a new show?
If you loaded an old show you won't see the effects-rate on old cuelists. Try making a new show or make new cuelists.

The effects-rate only alters the rate (speed) of the effect, the cuelist-rate alters the time from cue to cue. If you have all fade-times on 1s and the cuelist-rate is 100% (by default) the cues all fade in 1 second to the next. If you change the cuelist-rate to 50%, you slow it down by half, it will fade in 2 seconds. If you change it to 200%, you change it to twice the speed, it will fade in 0,5 seconds.

Not exactly in this case... that was the Wholehog 2 method. With the current implementation, mark is a setting of a cue. Wehn applied this cue will preplay parameter information when the previous cue completes. In order for data to be valid for marking, the intensity of the fixture must have been at zero in the previous cue and above zero in the cue set to mark.

When mark cues are released, the manual will also be updated to provide full information about how they function and how to use them.
