As you know I answered this for you on the Light Network already... and I have seen your reply.

For the sake of those reading this forum here is my information from the LN:
Once you select the macro, you have to adjust the "rate" by using the Mspeed of the fixture. So on Hog 3PC you will need to adjust the global speed channel. However be aware that once you have selected an Mspeed value this will affect the movement of your fixtures in all cues. Since you are using Hog 3PC, you might find it easiest to use the effects engine and use the console based effects. You will have much greater control of the fixture this way too. The macros built into the fixtures are designed for use when using a very basic controller or on stand alone mode.

Im working through the manual section now. Ive already played with the pre-defined ones a bit -- is there a way to download etc other effects? or must i build from here on out?

There are no other effects to download, however you can easily build many of your own by using the effects engine. Also you can really change up the looks by fanning the offset. Of course with only 2 fixtures this is a bit tough to see, but you should be able to get an idea. You can also use grouping and buddying to change the way fixtures are fanned, but again these features work best with more fixtures.
