I am beginning to think my professor was right when he said these werent worth the trouble. I have another issue. I have one X-Spot that has a MUCH larger circle of light than my other three. Also, when I set it to rotate lithos the other two rotate, but the third does not. It goes to the correct litho, and it will even cycle through the lithos, but it will not rotate a single litho.

These things are killing me!!! :Eyecrazy:

There were two different lens for the X-Spot a 2 to 1 zoom lens and a 4 to 1 zoom lens. it sounds like the one that is larger is probable a 4 to 1. You can look at the front of the lens and around the edge they will be some writing the 2 to 1 is a 6 element lens and the 4 to 1 is a 11 element lens. Look at that and you can tell.
The rotate problem could be the driver chip or it could be the motor. Most likely the motor, but you can just swoop the drivers on the board with a chip you know is working, Do this with the power turned off. This will help you narrow it down.

Their lenses are both Element 11.

so you most likely have a problem with a zoom motor on that one.
I would check the zoom, replace the motor if it seems bad, or driver chip,
Or I have had a lens or 2 sieze up over time...
    that was expensive..
    Good Luck!

Couldn't this also be a seized up iris keeping it smaller on the one?

    Could be,
although I don't see that motor fail too often, it doesn't work very hard, so it seems to last much longer.

Plus I have three that are the same size and the bigger one is the odd man out...
