hog2 on hog3 with timecode

You can only use the Hog 2 software on the iPC. Not on the Hog 3.
On the iPC you get a startup-screen where you can choose Hog 2 or 3 mode.


The iPC has a build-in MIDI-input suitable for MIDI Show Control and MIDI Time Code.

As far as I know, the MTC-Processor and the USB LTC Widget only work for Hog 3.

As Pim has pointed out the Wholehog 3 console will not run the older Wholehog 2 software. However the Wholehog 3 software has improved quite a bit (probably since the bad experiences your LD mentioned).

The SMPTE Widget will work with a Wholehog 3 console, Road Hog console and Hog 3PC. It will also work with Hog 2PC. The Hog iPC console can run either Wholehog 3 or Wholehog 2 software and has a built in SMPTE widget.

i guess i´ll have to do it with the hog3.
don´t missunderstand me, i love the hog3
but we had massive problems especialy with timecode,
the desk crashed several times when timecode stopped
and started again, we couldn´t figure out what it was.
this happend about november last year.
and the other option is gma, but i really dont like this !
so i hope it´ll work better this time ! :hogsign:

Please make sure that this time you use the most current software in your Wholehog 3 console... version 2.2.1, which is available for download from the FPS site. Also if you use the Timecode widget instead of the IOP you will probably have an easier time.
