ELO touchscreen - beeps only in system speaker

Have you tried going into your sound properties menu in the control panel to make sure that the volume for your output is turned up. It usually looks like a slide fader. You also may want to look and see if the wave volume is turned up as well.

thanks - i checked all those before posting. I build PCs all the time. This is really baffling. When I hook the touchscreen up to my laptop it works as desired. On my older computer - it sends the sound to this tiny PC speaker, but the rest of the windows sound go through the soundblaster.

I think I will try installing a different piece of hardware and see if that fixes it. I have several sound cards laying around.

You ever find out the source of your sound issue?

No - I have never figured out why the touch screen sound only happens through the system speaker - which I can't even hear unless I am in my office.
