Page Preview

pig + play will play all cuelists on that page

I've logged your request to release a page as enhancement #10914.

You can currently play, assert, or release multiple lists and scenes using comment macros.

You can also play multiple scenes or lists directly from the command line.

How would you like to preview pages? Would you like to have them come up over the current playback bars or would you like to have a dedicated preview window that would show all of the playbacks?

I think that your choose choose play syntax would cause problems because users often switch between masters and the next time play was pressed it would trigger all of them. I'd be open to discussing other possibilities, but I haven't thought of any solution yet that I really like.

for selecting more than one playback, how about holding down one choose button while pressing the other choose buttons you want to "group", and then they are "linked" together.. this is something down the line of what has been discussed a bit before in regards to making "groups" of playbacks.. maybe blinking choosebutton lights to indicate?

It would be nice to have an option what I can activat in the menu where I can switch on the other playback bars. Let's say I switch on a second playback bar in the config wings window with the possibility to see my next page instead of another 10 playback bars.? I hope you know what I mean?

Maybe it would make life easier to hold down the main Choose Button and the press the others to link them together???

here's an idea.

swappable faders.

If like the traditional faders keep it, but if you want to add dedicated playback buttons similar to the grandma, you buy this part and swap it out. half will be faders, the other half will be buttons.

Are at least release some kind of wing with nothing but buttons and maybe two faders.

So your basically talking about ripping the front panel appart? Look the the front panel, it is one piece of aluminium. I dont think what your asking is possible...

really don't need hard buttons for we have virtual cuelists that can be triggered via touch screen. On the grand Ma you have executor buttons for you can't trigger any sequence if not attached to a physical executor.

Maybe you work better that way but not me. I work alot in night clubs and i need instance access to as many buttons as possible. I would love to keep my eyes to sky and focus on the music. I really dont ever want to have to look at the screen

while i got your attention, is it possible to seperate the rate and effect for atmoics 3000 on teh roadhog? I need to create IPCB faders for rate,intensity,duration, and pick my effect type from my beam pallete

Get the full H3 Expansion wing....20 buttons on the top & 20 faders on the bottom.

Honestly I don't understand your question. Did you mean rate and size?
If I want to control rate and size separately, I normally record a cue list with 2 cues in it. In the first cue size is at 0 and in the second one is at the top speed I want to reach. Set the fader as manual crossfade. Trigger the first cue with my fader at the bottom end. As I raise the fader my size increases. Want to change the rate, Push the choose button and hold it down, Spin the encoder to you like!

This sounds similar to a request I made last year. #10637
Having a separate window to edit pages is what I had in mind.
So if need one could move a bunch of cuelists onto a blank page at anytime.
Holdover if active is fine sometimes, but not always.
I often will program a page for each song, or act and capture activity.
When I go to a page I want the last page to release...period.
When somebody throws me a curveball like "oh, btw we decided to do a new song tonight..." I want to be able to grab some existing cuelists and creat a new page blindly...and not have to worry about switching page modes, especially if I need to go to the next song while I'm making up the new page.

So to answer one of your questions...."a dedicated preview window that would show all of the playbacks" would be awesome!
There could be a view/edit button on the page palette....Page x open...whatever works best.
