We can't seem to get our speakers working on our desk. The CD Plays, but the volume control doesn't has no effect on the speakers Any mute settings or something obvious that I am overlooking? Thanks.
The only mute controls are in the volume control tab of the control panel. You may have to crank both the CD volume and the master volume way up, as the amplifier we use is relatively small.
I'd also suggest running the console tests on the console (from the boot menu) which will allow you to test the sound.
There is also an audio cable that runs from the back of the CD drive to the mother board. You might want to check these connections. It is a small 4 wire connector that plugs into the back left side of the CD player (when viewing from the back of the console).
