I'm not quite sure but I think it might have been already asked!!!!
In the old Hog 2 if you apply whatever palette you can knock it out or undo it, if we use hog 2 terminology, by holding the pig down and touching the palette itself. Pig [palette] might still do the job or another option might be added in the preferences window such as "knockout palettes on double press" similar to deselect groups on double press.
another shortcut to get rid of parameters we don't need might be backspace and one of the slot button.
backspace colour or backspace gogo, gobo2, beam fx or whatever.
