using touch when a cue is paused

Try using Live instead.

Live + Enter will grab the whole output

or

Live + Group "xyx" + Enter

I've been trying to reproduce this, but I'm not having much luck. Touch seems to be properly grabbing the current (paused) output state. Can you give me some more information about what fixture types and parameters you're having problems with?

Live is actually just a tool for selecting fixtures. It can select based on intensity and / or palette usage, but it won't actually set any values. Touch and Suck are the best options for grabbing values into an editor based on what's happening on-stage.

live + enter results on my desk to the selection of all fixtures that are above zero but does not capture the actual output value of for example the pan tilt.

cue 1 is pan tilt on position 1
cue 2 is pan tilt on postion 2

cue 1 is running to 2 and pause is pressed during the fade.

how do i get the actual pan tilt values in to my editor ??

you´ve posted youre reply at the moment i was typing a reply to marty.
I´m now trying this at my hogpc but had this problem before on my h3 console.

i now have a patch with 4 tw-1´s extended

You're absolutely correct. I was trying this with hard values in cues. The problem is when you're crossfading between palettes. I'll get a defect opened up for this problem.

ok to make it more confusing....

when pressing touch the programmer shows the correct values when show palletes is off. when show pallet is on is says position 2
but the output screen value is swopped to cue 2 in value view and in show palletes view.
dmx output also swop to the value of cue 2 (position 2)

hmmmm tried that with the same setup but results in the same issue as in my last post.

Programmer values are correct in the programmer value screen but not on programer show paletes screen and not on the output screen.

dmx output is as shown on the output screen.... programmer vallue is getting lost somewhere in the desk...
