that's something I've seen also quite a lot of times, also yesterday a couple of times. I've no real idea where it comes from, but yes, I agree it is annoying, especially if it is the pan value, seeing a moving head spinning around.

Yesterday (coincidence,perhaps but no with the latest beta, also seen before) I had one moving head which I wanted to adjust, and it spinned totally. I hesitated to do it on the second one, but I tried, and this one did not spin, whereas both have been setup the same way (cuelist, but manual override using palette positions).

And I totally agree, I also have no clue where this is coming from, or where to search to reproduce it. Sneaking around for some time this one.

But I'll keep a eye on it :)

I thought it had somehting to do with my programmer wing which seems to be broken or at least have some problems... glad to hear that at least the parameter wheels seem to be ok and it is likely to be a software problem :)

yes seems to be the same symptom. Did You see this for a longer time or is it rather recent ? I cannot say for how long I see this, but it is for a couple of months, surely nothing new introduced by a late build. Either nobody talked about it or it is a real coincidence that there are say many talking about now :)

I haven't used my hog3pc-gear for 4 months... so I can't say anything about experiences with the releases since maybe august 2006.

that was the thread, yes.. as for the problem, i've seen it on both H3, and H3pc.. and if i should guess, i'd says I saw this first time 3-4 months ago.

I saw this for the first time on beta software last week as I was doing some heavy functionality testing and have compared my notes to what is being described in this post and it looks like the same issue. As many of you have stated this seems to be a rather random bug and is somewhat hard to pin down. I have begun to investigate this further today as I am testing against this issue on both platforms. It sounds like this is most commonly seen on Hog3PC with a programming wing or iPC Front Panel. Thanks for your input to this matter.
