double press on Copy could be good too and make sens because it would copy cue and palette.

So if you copy the cue and then press SUCK then you get all the info?

I know you can use SUCK with masking too ( + I P C B E)

No, what I want it is that when I Copy cues or cuelists, this also create a Copy of each pallets contained in the copied cues.
That would make possible to quickly modify the copied cues without touching the pallets of the others cues. We could for example copy existing positions from already existing pallets in the new pallets and have a new chase in a few time.

Is that more clear?

I can see how this syntax might be useful occasionally, but I think it's probably a bit confusing. I think that even when I'd want to create copies of the palettes used in cues and scenes, I'm probably not going to want to copy all of them. It's usually not too tough for me to just copy the objects that I need and write them into the new cues. This is just my personal opinion, so I'm curious to hear what other people have to say about it.

I know that it will not be the more used syntax, but when I find an idea of loop or chase I like, I decline it with to the maximun and i keep the 3 or 4 i prefer. It is also a very fast and sure way to modify a cuelist, a chase or a loop, for example if the designer likes the loop but want to change the positions or the colors. It is always possible once we have more time to clean cues.

I had seen how it could be useful to have this function yesterday night when I talk with another operator about programming.
For example I have a look on stage and I must create a loop that will have 2 steps but I don't know yet with witch parameters, so I make a COPY COPY of one cuelist that have one white step and one red step. I can see that speed is good but red is not good so I change red in the two new palettes by Orange, I think that Dimmers loop would be better so I replace color by dimmers in palettes.

With this option it would be really quick and easy to modify loop and chases to test what is the best for the show.

and yet still keeping al the origional pallets for the existing cues/chases etc etc.

yeah, I see how this could be usefull.
Maybe only once/twice per show......... but the idea's good.
