There isn't a way to copy the inverse of one fixture's position to another fixture in one step. You will need to clone the position to the destination either with copy or the equalise modifier (/) for the encoders and then invert the pan by holding the minus key and touching the pan encoder.

There currently isn't a way to add or subtract values from parameters. We've discussed functionality like this, but haven't implemented it yet. If you have an exact value you're trying to reach (like -260° in your example), the easiest way to do this is usually to enter it directly in an editor spreadsheet.

I prepare a tour where some fixture will turn so if you find a solution to add or subtract values from parameters feel free to put it in next version :D

How would we know whether to reverse pan, tilt, or both?
It seems to me that since reversing either pan or tilt is relatively easy to do after the copy that adding a copy toolbar option isn't really going to make this any easier or more intuitive.

Can you tell me more about your specific needs for adding and subtracting values from parameters? How would you want this to work?

You are right for the first point, it must stay easy an intuitive. Copy - could be a solution, i have not find yet a simple idea to reverse only spécifique part of position or beam, i'm thinking about that point, but prehaps the good solution is yet the one is in desk and must stay the same.

The adding and subtracting values from parameters would be very wonderfull, in next tour i weel have 7 Wind mills and 1 fixture by arm, the wind mills wil have indexed positions and continuous rotation.
So i should find an easy way to turn of a specific angle for evry positions i do. This could be with + and - and palette.
So we would have syntax like:
1 thru 12 position X + postion Y enter
5 thru 18 position A - postion Y enter
Position X + Position Y enter
Cue 5 - positon X Enter
cue 5 copy to
Scene 12 + position y Enter

Result should be Saved in new palette, cues and scenes should be automaticaly updated.

Just an other idea coming, could we have a syntax to replace a palette by an other one in a cue or a cue list? Something like cue 1 thru 5 position X become(or replace) position Y enter

What could be really good, simplese and intuitive would be to have an offset for the position in each cue, if a wind mill turns of 271° in the cue X I assign an offset of 271° to fixtures of this wind mill in this cue.

So we could have it on four wheels, 1)Pan 2)Pan-Offset 3)Tilt 4)Tilt-Offset.
It could be usefull to offset fixtures in live if the guitare hero is not at is place or something had move on stage.

Hi Quinn

I'm ok with you and XYZ is really important but i think FP and HES have a plan about that with an easy way to refocus it, and XYZ is not the solution when fixtures are moving. Offset could be great for this point and many other ones, as if you are running a circle around the singer and he move, so if you change Pan and tilt in live the circle will be stoped but if you change position with offset the circle will continu to run.

Project is delayed so we have time to find a solution.

I think that the offset solution would be very complementary with 3D (XYZ) because in my case fixture is moving so 3d would not work.

Is this idea too insane or unrealizable?
