Greetings Hog users, maybe you can give me some advice:
I own a Pearl 2004, and have modified my own fixture profiles to auto generate menus the way I like to lay out the console. I have also included the palettes that I use most, with the parameters that work for me. Lately, I have found myself behind a Hog 2 more than usual, and I wish I could have the same freedom of loading in fixtures and having the palettes auto generate to my liking. Any thoughts on how to do this? Should I alter the fixture library with a text editor like notepad? Or do you users carry around a bunch of disks with your favorite fixtures built into a show and merge the palettes you want for the fixtures you want into a current show?
Also, is there any way to access the individual fixture profiles in the library? I have been able to gather a few from the rom library downloader, but the list isn't complete. I found some issues with the Mac 250 Entour basic profile for the stepped scroll color wheel functions, they don't match the dmx protocol sheet. I "fixed" the profile so the labels now match the colors, but the split color function doesn't work. How do I do this? I read the manual page 173 and rewrote the range = to allow the use of split color functions, but it doesn't work.
