I have 6 Studio spot 575 onsite for this show. Three of them were working fine, but my LD informed me after awhile that he was having troubles with 3 of them, when I went to check all 3 were showing UPLd on the display screen. I am unable to access the menu, and when I hard reset them they go right back to the same thing. Removing data and resetting does the same thing, I am at a bit of a loss here. I have never had this error pop up and neither has my LD.
It sounds like a firmware upload or crossload was started and then aborted.
What you need to do is connect the units stuck in UPLD with one working unit with dmx cable. Make sure the DMX cable is disconnected from the console so that it is just the one working fixture and the 3 non-working ones.
Go into the menu MODE->XLD->
This will force a firmware crossload into the other fixtures and should get you going again.
Thank you, this has fixed one of the units so far...after 6 tries :D Now to get the other 2 going, thankfully these units aren't in use until tomorrow.
Shouldn't take that many tries. Make sure there aren't any DMX Splitters or anything else in the link other than just plain cable. Minimize the amount of cable as well if you can.
