Does the Road Hog 4 have built in CoreMIDI support?

Will I be able to plug in my iPad via USB with a midi launchpad app running and have the console recognise and process the midi signal?

No, Hog only supports MIDI. If CoreMIDI is simply Apple's name for its MIDI implementation but over USB it looks like standards MIDI it should work.
