console controls erratic while programming

I had this problem with the console i use,
My boss ended up calling the dealer that confirmed a "common" ghosting problem. I belive they fixed it for free.

Good luck! Maybe the HES staff will confirm this if this is the case.

What do you mean controls will freeze? Like is input from the buttons not being taken in? Is there a video?

"freeze" meaning that the touchscreen becomes unresponsive, or the keypad, or the command keys, or the wheels. so it is not possible to program anything.

however, existing shows can be executed.

starting to think it could be global settings changes by another user. is there any way to roll back to earlier version of global settings?

Hello, is it correct the console is only 4 months old? Has it had the problem since the beginning or did the console work properly for a while?

It seems there may be loose cable connections inside or possibly something is failing. As a test if there are any external devices such as touchscreens, mice, keyboards, etc., test without these to confirm they are not contributing to the problem.

It worked properly for several months. The problem started about 2 weeks ago.

Opened and checked all internal connections, everything looked and smelled fine.

Thank you for the idea regarding external devices. We had removed some, but not all!

We still are not sure exactly which of the following was causing the error. We removed the external wifi router (which we never used). Also the external touch-screen monitor was causing faults.

With a new external touchscreen monitor and no wifi router, the console now works properly.

I don't know if this was contributing but it is mentioned the router has been removed. If the console was also set to be a DHCP Server, and Obtain an IP Address from DHCP was selected, the console can have problems as it is receiving info from two different DHCP servers sending different addresses.
