Option for selecting of palette to select fixtures in it on first click

Maybe add an option by the guard button where clicking on the palette selects the fixtures effected first so double tapping it applies the palette.

But what if this is a global palette or a per type incl. all types in your show... So sometimes all fixtures would be included... Are you really sure this would be good idea?

I would like to see the function “group pallet x” this will select the fixtures that lives in pallet x. If

[Open] the palette, then just close the palette. This will select your fixtures automatically (Assuming you have "Select all fixtures when activated" in your programming preferences)
You can quickly close a window by holding [Open][Backspace]

So essentially: [Open] (Touch you palette) [Open]&[Backspace]

Ok, but this would not be viable in a busking situation

But busking in my opinion should not be done in the programmer.... But thats a philosphy question ;)

I’m with Marc. It’s called the ‘programmer’ for a reason. Busking should be done from Scenes and Lists.

Building a color/position/beam picker is very easy. Leggy did a video for that in the HOG4 FB group.

just make scenes for an all fixture group.
Then copy these by masking the subgroups like spots, washes, beams, etc

eg: Scene 1 thru 7 Group 5 copy scene 11

This will create copies of scene 1-7 but only for the fixtures in group 5

This is actually something I have discussed going back a long time. I don't really mind how you select the data but I would love to gain quick access to all fixtures contained within a pallet. Double tap, long press, combination of another key + press I'm not bothered. This would return whatever fixtures are contained within the palette into the programmer. Global palettes would return all fixtures, type all that type etc.

I have requested a time ago the keystroke “Group pallet x” for selecting the fixtures in that specific pallet. And for “group cue x”, “group list x” and “group scene x”
